The Best Black Friday Camera Deals of 2017, including $400 DSLRs
The best electronics deals are often (though not always) part of the day that kickstarts the holiday shopping: Black Friday. But with Black Friday comes ads from every retailer trying to get you through their particular set of doors on Friday morning. We’ve done the ad-digging for you and rounded up some of the best Black Friday camera deals out there.
Some of these are online, some are in-store-only and some are a limited quantity doorbuster — so once you’ve found your deal, you’ll want to check if deals are online or in-store and what time you need to arrive to snatch it off the shelves. (You can find the full details at each store's Black Friday deals page, including Best Buy, B&H and Target.) Some stores haven’t yet released their ads, so to avoid an unwelcome surprise, make sure you check the price comparison tool at each Digital Camera HQ product page before you head out or click check out. Happy shopping!
The GoPro Hero5 Black might now have a replacement in the form of the HERO6, but it’s still a solid camera and on Black Friday, a rather affordable one. You can find the Hero5 for $350 at Target with a $50 gift card back.
Not quite in the budget? The smaller Hero5 Session is less of a discount but still a solid deal for $250 at Best Buy.
Compact still cameras are easy to take anywhere and can be rather affordable with the right deal.
At Best Buy, there are several Canon compacts for modest to three-figure discounts. The Canon SX720 is $100 off, selling for $280 with a free memory card. The budget camera ELPH 180 is even more budget-friendly for $100, a $40 discount. The Canon G7 X Mark II is on sale for $650, a $50 discount, and also includes a free memory card. Best Buy’s zoom camera discount for Canon will save $150 with the PowerShot SX530 for $230.
Best Buy also has the Sony HX80 for $300, a $70 discount.
The Sony a6000 is a more affordable entry point into Sony’s mirrorless systems and the camera will be on sale with two lenses for $700 at Best Buy, a $350 discount, or with a single lens for $500 at B&H. The more advanced Sony a6300 is available for $1000, another $350 discount from Best Buy.
Finding a budget-friendly DSLR is even easier on Black Friday. The Nikon D3400 is going for $400 at Best Buy, or $500 with a second lens. A $650 deal on the Canon EOS T6 can be found at a number of different stores, including Target, Sam’s Club and even Kohls. The more advanced T6i can be picked up for $750 at Best Buy.
If you are looking beyond the beginner level, the Canon EOS 80D will be $1,300 at Best Buy and the EOS 5D Mark III for $2300 at B&H or the Mark IV for $3,00, also at B&H. The Nikon D7200 can be picked up for $1,000 from several retailers including B&H, while the D750 is $1500 body only or $2000 with a 24-120mm zoom lens. The Nikon D500 is also over $500 off at B&H.
